Welcome to the UWA Christian Union!
The UWA Christian Union (we call it ‘CU’) is a Guild club of over 100 students from lots of different churches who join together to proclaim Jesus as King and support each other in living for Him.
Whether you’ve been a Christian for years, are investigating Jesus for the first time, or just want to know what we do, we’re glad that you’ve come to check us out. You can find out things like who runs CU and what exactly we believe in the pages in our About Us section.
Christian Union has lots of great stuff happening (which you can check out here), but if you’re new, the best way to explore CU is by coming to Public Meeting and joining a Small Group.
Public Meeting
The staple diet of a CUer. These thought provoking Bible talks happen every week during semester. They’re a great opportunity to meet other Christians, think about what it means to follow Jesus at uni or just find out more about Christianity.
Our Public Meetings happen on a Tuesday at 1pm in Social Sciences Lecture Theatre and on a Thursday at 12pm in Social Sciences G.28, Lecture Room 1. Anyone and everyone is welcome, all you have to do is rock up on the day.
Small Groups
Groups of 8–15 students who gather each week to study the Bible, pray and hang out together. Small Groups are the heart and soul of CU, and they’re a great way to make new friends.
Everyone is welcome, no matter where you stand. You can go with a friend to their group or sign up for a faculty group. You can sign up using the online sign-up form, or you can sign-up at one of our Public Meetings in week one.
FOCUS
FOCUS stands for the Fellowship of Overseas Christian University Students. We have our own Small Group Bible Study and do lots of other activities designed especially for International Students. If you’re an International Student who is Christian or curious about what Christians believe, we’d love to hear from you.

College Connect
College Connect is a non-denominational group for Christian students and their friends from the UWA residential colleges. We meet together weekly to read the Bible, chat about living as a Christian at college and encourage each other. Feel free to join us at 8-9pm on Monday nights during semester (starting week 2) in the ME Wood Room at St Catherine’s College (access from Park Rd).
