Proclaiming Jesus at universityfacebook (white)

The UWA Christian Union is a group of over 200 students on a mission to help students engage with Jesus at university.

We come from dozens of churches and denominations across Western Australia, but we’re united by our love for Jesus and our desire to see everyone grow in their love for him.

Whether you’ve known Jesus for years or are just starting to check him out, we’d love you to join us.

How can I get involved?

Hi CUers. This post is to let you know about a change coming up in the staffworker team that serves the CU. Ben Rae is the Team Leader of the staffworkers at UWA, which also means he works closely with the CU Student Committee in planning the direction and programs of CU. But he has decided to leave UWA mid-2021 to pursue PhD studies in the UK. The AFES has appointed Matt Smith as the new Team Leader. Ben will continue in the role till mid 2021, when Matt will take over. Please give thanks to God for Ben, and pray for Matt, and for a smooth transition. ... See MoreSee Less

Just a heads up that several AFES groups around Australia have reported that a Korean cult group has been trying to recruit Christian uni students.

Typically one of them contacts you through Instagram or Facebook, claiming to be Christian and wanting to do a Zoom call so you can encourage each other with your testimonies. Sometimes they claim to be part of CU or FOCUS, but can‘t tell you what small group they‘re part of. At least one UWA CU student has been contacted and thought it was pretty weird.

My advice is to just block them.
