Engaging with Jesus at universityfacebook (white)

The UWA Christian Union is a group of over 200 students on a mission to help students engage with Jesus at university.

We come from dozens of churches and denominations across Western Australia, but we’re united by our love for Jesus and our desire to see everyone grow in their love for him.

Whether you’ve known Jesus for years or are just starting to check him out, we’d love you to join us.

How can I get involved?

A single mum is looking for a CU girl who could live in and help out by dropping off and picking up her daughter from school. Details below. Contact
Ben Rae if you’re interested and he’ll put you in contact with her.

Hi. My name is Chrysten and I am a single Christian mother looking for some help this year with my daughter as I do not have any family in Perth, I work full time and my daughter will be starting full time school this year.

I am currently living 5mins walk from UWA so was hoping to be able to find a young christian female student studying at UWA to live in and help with school drop offs and pick ups (school is one street away from house so not far to travel). I would be offering free accommodation including bills, internet and food. Overall hours would be very minimal as it would mainly be school drop offs and pick ups. There will be certain times when the hours of care would be a little bit longer but that would be dependant on my shifts. I work as a Registered Nurse so do shift work but try to work predominantly morning shifts/night shifts so the help needed is very minimal. I would not expect any house duties as such it would just be the school drop offs and pick ups and helping as needed otherwise dependant on what shifts I work.

It would be a very flexible arrangement with the successful person having lots of free time especially during the days when I am at work and my daughter is at school. Weekends would be fairly free also as I can make other arrangements on the weekends if I need to work. If you could please help me by putting up an ad on your facebook page or asking around people you know/local church, I would greatly appreciate it. It is really important to me that my daughter is surrounded by good Christian influence and I really hope that you will be able to help!

Thank you very much for you time. God Bless!

Thank you

Kind Regards,

Chrysten Fitzclarence

A Christian couple are looking for a live in nanny for 2018. They'd love to have a young Christian uni student to be part of their family and invest in that relationship, as well as get to know the person looking after their daughter really well.

The deal would be free board and accommodation + pay for ~15hours/week work. This could start earlier in the year if needed 🙂❤️

Message Tim Thorburn if you're interested.

• Praise God for the missions to churches around WA that have just wrapped up. Please pray that God would draw those who don’t know Jesus but got to hear the gospel to himself.

• Pray for the National Office staff as they think through all the logistical requirements of the conference. Pray that all the planning tasks would be completed and that nothing would be forgotten or overlooked.

• Pray for the city of Canberra and our presence there during NTE. Pray that those we meet the caterers, the staff of EPIC and the different accommodation sites, and local business owners will be impressed by how we treat each other and them. Pray that everything we do during NTE would show that we live for the King and not for ourselves.
