EQUIP
Common Hour
Time: Wednesdays 1 PM (starting week 4)
Location: Psychology G42 (North building, ground floor)
Equip Common Hour is an interactive, seminar-style weekly session focused on developing our character, conviction, and competence to serve Jesus. Each semester, we explore how the Bible shapes a specific area of Christian thinking and living.
This semester we'll be exploring the Sovereignty of God.
What is God doing in the world today? If he's really in control, what difference should that make in our lives? As we dig into the doctrine of God's Sovereignty this semester, we'll be tackling questions like:
-
Do we have real choices, or is everything predestined?
-
Why does evil exist?
-
How does prayer fit into God's plan?
Through prayerful wrestling through Scripture, we'll explore how God's rule over everything isn't just a theological idea, but an unshakeable source of security and comfort in an uncertain world.
